The price point really kills the mid-size market for me. I can get a more capable full sized truck for the same price and often less than most mid sized. The full sized trucks also always have more configurations and options available.

The mid sized truck market fails at the only two things that would make me get one: price and fuel economy. They don't excel and often fail in both categories against full sized competition.

This. Right. Here.

I bought my 2007 Ridgeline RTX for ~$26,000 brand spanking new. Had everything I needed at the time and was very much cheaper than full size vehicles.

Now, this Ridgeline $36-40k for basically what I had in my 2007. WTF?

Hence my decision to buy a 2016 Tundra, CM, TSS package. I was out the door for $40k with a much more capable truck.
