The wife booked a cabin at sweet water in a couple weeks. I've always fished out of Hopedale and really have no knowledge of Delacroix. Any tips and pointers would be appreciated. We will be fishing out of our bay boat.

FIL and I fished out of shell beach on Friday. Neither of us had ever been there. We usually fish decade, mechant, etc.

OB really came through for us. They have been saying find clear water and birds and that's what we did.

I don't know the names of places at all but we drove around for about an hour and a half without getting a bite or seeing birds. Then we went into a big lake (google maps says it's called treasure bay). Saw a large group of birds, went over, and it was on.

We basically just followed birds and it was almost every cast. At one time I caught 7 fish in 7 casts. They were all small but it was fun as hell to catch em like that.

We were both throwing vudu plastics. Mine was purple with chartreuse tail and his was basic shrimp color. Didn't seem to matter.

I just started fishing Delacroix. I have been fishing for trout under the birds in Lake Campo in the late afternoon early evening . Bite has been getting good from 530 until sunset. Been using Double rigged Matrix Shad Shrimp creole (no cork). The area between sweetwater and lake campo is loaded with places to stop and fish for reds. Jack, the owner of sweetwater is a helpful guy and he will point you in the right direction. Good luck.

Be careful. Water is super low right now.

Just saw that you said you're going in a couple weeks. We should have a solid east wind between now and then so it oughta come back up. Either way, be careful.

The redfish were schooled up yesterday. Groups of tournament fish together.

Greenhead had one that would've made an impressive showing on marsh hen media
