I, and most of the posters on TD, shot way better than that when I was 16.
At age 17 I could make from four to six 12 to 15 foot jumpers in a row in a game. FT's basically. Its his f'ing job. I was suffering from sexual tension and hate for trigonometry and resentment of my damn physics teacher and his penchant for trick questions. And I still managed to practice basic shots. What's Simmons excuse?.
Simmons has had a month to practice. Nothing to show for it.

Get off your lazy butt & check out Grant Hill's shooting stats his entire first season & most of the second. Yet, odd, he DEVELOPED into a great shooter & became a multi time all pro. Good Lord. When you were 16, were you playing in an all white team with no one over 5'10"?
