Incoming 2016 IF Jake Slaughter finished up his Cal Ripken League season.

He played 38 games in the league. The Cal Ripken League is a mid to upper tier summer collegiate league. He played mostly in the middle infield, with some time at DH as well.

He finished with a .264/.359/.380 slash line with 9 dbl, 2 HR, and 21 RBI. He stole 5 bases and scored 23 runs as well. He had a 10% walk rate and 22% K rate, both decent numbers for a high school kid playing against college players.

He was a league All Star and helped lead his team into the playoffs, where they lost in the semi finals.

Cade Doughty (2019 Denham Springs) is currently in Japan playing for the USA Baseball 15U team. They run ruled Chinese Taipei last night 18-3. Here is USA Baseball's recap: LINK

Cade Doughty (Denham Springs, La.) had a hit, walk, two RBI and a run scored.

8/1/16 Update:
Doughty is killing in this international tournament. Later this week when I've been able to aggregate all his box scores I'll post some stats from his games in the trials and the tourney. He's played damn near every position on the diamond for Team USA this summer. In the intl tourney, it's been Catcher and Centerfield. Kid is a stud.
