Get him a phone in this situation.
We made our daughter wait until she turned 12 and she was the last kid in her grade at school to get one.
It really is a useful device. Just set the ground rules and def. get some kind of way to monitor use and what sites they are visiting.
And before one of you old hicks respond with your stupid shite, it's a different world we live in. Yeah, little Johnny could take the horse to his friends house and go fetch water for the house too, but we have moved on.
