Have you looked at ipe? I have a dock that has rotted treated wood. I am going to have to do something before long. I think I am going to replace the stringers with treated pine designed for saltwater intrusion and top it with ipe wood. It greys like cypress without a finish and really shines with a finish. It is considered a lifetime wood.

All vinyl timbertek with hidden fasteners. Be prepared for 50$ per 16ft board though. Plus another 1sq ft minimum for stainless fasteners.
