Any type of insurance the team can have to bridge the gap? Like MLB teams have had...

I think teams have insurance but the team doesn't get cap relief from a medical retirement until the season after the player retires so if bosh retired this summer, the heat would get cap relief in 2017

Time for the Heat to stop getting a reputation for being a player friendly organization.
He got $20 mil last season.

And the Heat are going to keep their Durant option open.

I don't think that disqualifies them from being a player friendly organization.

He outta just sign the offer sheet the heat extend to him
He basically got double last season than the Heat wanted him to originally take. Great advice!!!

I'll look at the salary cap FAQ.

In any event I think Bosh has played his last game as a member of the Heat. A buyout benefits both parties actually if the Heat are dead set on going in another direction and are willing to eat the majority of that salary. Bosh would get his buyout money and be free to sign with another team.
