May be a very dumb question, but can you "reverse" the sale of a home within a few business days of closing?

Seller wants their house back and it has only been 2 business days since closing. What are the laws/rules for this? Is it basically my decision?

I'm not sure, but i think once its done, its done. You'd have to sell back to them pretty high just for you to break even...all fees, AND the taxes you'd have to pay on the short term cap gain...

You can always do a decision on a contract if both parties agree.

If things have been changed at the courthouse it may be more complex.

What happened?

I would be loathe to rescind with out being made whole for my expenses as well as a good reason why and a place to stay.

If you're having second thoughts about the house or really aren't tied to it, tell them you want all costs reimbursed and an extra 10% of appraised value for your trouble/time....otherwise tell them to pound sand.
