I've seen both water and live oak leaves look pretty similar to other oak trees when they are new (definitely not a live oak though). It all depends where they are. I've seen water oaks have leaves 12" long, and I've seen live oak leaves look just like cow oak in the wild. Just need better pictures of the leaves in the tree and the shape of the tree

Yeah oak leaves underneath that are shaded will look different than their normal leaves.
But the bark just doesn't look right to me for Water Oak.
