I have read this criticism a bunch. Some articles tried to frame the criticism as racism but I think thats a bit ridiculous and specious.
He was known for questioning coaches and being a bit defiant. Which seems to have carried over into the combine. Intelligence is a great but it also can lead to overconfidence in your opinions, hardheadedness and an unwillingness to admit wrong doing. That could really slow or stagnate his development IMO.
For an already tepid locker room from a leadership perspective, Brown does not excite me in that regard. In fact worries me. He seems like a player that would thrive better in a place like Boston where there is clearly defined leaders and a strong coach.
