i have braid on every rod. All 12#

I use mono backer for 1/4 of the spool capacity and use flouro leader.

I like the casting qualities of braid and on my baitcasters if there is a reel overspool then picking the backlash out is a snap with braid.
Also like the strenght of braid and don't have memory like other lines.

Downside is fishing grass with light baits.
Braid sticks to everything

Totally agree on baitcaster, in particular. I do use mono for smaller spinning outfits.

Yep, and I find I get fewer backlashes. The lack of stretch means you don't get the spring effect when casting (the line initially stretches on the cast and then contracts, causing the reel to speed up relative to the lure/line speed).

I switched to fluorocarbon on my "soft plastics set up." tried the FC sniper stuff that everyone says is the creme, but that line was terrible - it was stiff and had a lot of memory.

Took that off and put Seaguar InvizX like I have on my other non-braid lines. InvizX has by far the least memory of any non-braid line I've tried.
