Fans always overrate the importance of the post season, especially in team sports.

What does this even mean?
Kershaw (or any team's ace) potentially has the greatest impact of any player on a 7 game playoff series.
If playoff Kershaw pitched like regular season Kershaw, you are taking about 2 starts and potentially action in a 3rd game in a series of shutdown ball. You only have to win 4 games, 2 should be guaranteed if Kershaw doesn't poop the bed
So I'd say Kershaw's postseason success is pretty fricking important to LAD. We are talking Randy Johnson going 3-0 in 2001 with a 1 ERA in the WS. Until Kershaw can put LAD on his back in the postseason he will always have that cloud over his head
Bumgarner is 24 and has 3 rings and a 0.25 ERA in 36 World Series innings. 2.14 ERA overall in his postseason career. If ya wanna talk what being lights out in the playoffs does for a team
