One other thing I will say about writers - Go ahead and try to come up with thousands of words of original content every week.

Yes, TigerinATL is a great poster. I have said so many times. I respect his opinion. But its a whole different thing to write 3-5 original pieces a week that nobody else is writing. Do the research, the re-writing and editing. That is a whole different game.

Sometimes (often times) you have to write things you don't necessarily believe or care about. You have to stay ahead of the curve, because once you write about something that is already being discussed on a message board or on another blog, nobody cares.

That is the part you gotta respect. That's the hard part. On top of that, you are always held accountable when you are wrong, because people can google and it pops right up. I am sure Tiger has been wrong hundreds of times (everybody has), but its much harder to call him out on something he was wrong about 4 months ago because its so much harder to find.

ANyway, I digress...

It's definitely hard, which is why you all are generally bad. It's the internet egos that are fostered that I think bother most people.

I follow a few of the good national guys, and that's good for me. I don't need to get forced hot takes and outlandish trade proposals, etc.

Which is one of the many reasons I'm not a "professional" volunteer writer. I've said many times I come here to learn, but the last thing I want out of this is home work

Yeah but y'all lose that respect when you get into the petty bickering. I'm sure it's hard to avoid getting personal when you're so invested in it, but we want y'all to tell us about the Pels, not the other guys that report on them.

No, it's much harder to call me out because I usually approach things with an open mind and if someone has good reason to disagree with me they have a good shot at convinving me to change my mind, or at least understanding why I feel differently. This is just a different environment than writing which by its very nature separates you from your audience as an expert they are there to listen too.
