Doesn't really work with IT. Things that are old enough to warrant the phrase "if it ain't broke," typically have been made obsolete by safer, more performant technology.

Doesn't make sense in a lot of situations.
Chamber Pots and Outhouses weren't "Broke" but we still have indoor plumbing now.

Maybe, but many large and small corporations smaller ones still run on IBM AS00 "green screen" technology from the 70's and 80's for their main line of business apps. It's stable, and corporations have heavy investment in the old stuff that still works today.
