I have a poison ivy story
Me and best friend were probably in the 8-10 age range. An older friend tells us one day that the indians used to eat poison ivy and drink the sap to make themselves immune to it. So best friend and I eat a leaf and cut some up and drink the sap. Neck, eyes, throat, cheeks, tongue, everything swole up and itched for days. Got steroid shots and cortizone. Haven't had poison ivy since.
