I don't buy that as justification. What's to stop players from flopping when calls aren't missed? Who's to say just as many aren't missed the other way for someone who has too much pride to flop?

To the handful of true Cavs fans on this board, you're welcome.
As a LeBron fan, I'm also appreciative.

I told my wife what I did and her response was simply "you're psychotic"

I'd like to meet that player in today's NBA.

Supposedly the league office and fines, but who knows.

Fair enough, and I agree that it sucks. I hate it, particularly for LeBron. I just understand why he does it too.

To say they only flop when they are justified in doing so by having calls missed is just naive. Why wouldn't a player abuse it if it worked?

Sure, but all of the superstars flop to some extent. That was my point.
It seems egregious when a 280 lbs player does it, but the concept is not limited to LBJ or Harden. If anything, it is more understandable that LBJ does it than someone like Harden.
Again, I sigh when LeBron flops. Wish it didn't happen. But I get it.

That is just an insane half of basketball. 62% from the field and from 3. Every player with a positive +/-. Jesus.

Guilty as charged. And for the record, I don't think it only happens on real fouls. Sometimes it is embellishment, sometimes it is fraudulent. I don't like it either way.

I'm very against it because twice I made an earnest effort to get into the World Cup and I absolutely hated all the flopping and girliness. I do not want it to infect the NBA like it has international soccer and ruin one of my favorite sports

Did SFP write that? Reminds me of his pros/cons list in that psycho ex-BF thread on the OT.
