What time does the traffic get bad in the afternoon if you are heading to BR from NOLA? If I get on I-10 in NOLA at 1230-100pm will I hit traffic? The place I am going is right off of the Essen Lane exit on I-10. Thanks

Traffic starts at 6am when the Livingston and Ascension plant baws struggle to show each other how insecure they are by driving aggressively in their 10' pickup trucks with loud exhaust and nutz hanging off the back on their way to the plant - more often than not they wreck, causing the nightmare for the rest of the day. It's pretty calm until about 3pm when the plant baws once again race to the trailer parks and set up more disaster for the commuters that get off at 5pm.

It won't be bad at all heading west. Heading east if you're going back to NOLA after could be bad however.

The good news is that the traffic is only bad while the sun is shining.

Baton Rouge has the most frustrating drivers of any city I've driven in. They're slow and oblivious. Slam their brakes to stop at a yellow then fall asleep and don't move when it turns green. Putter in the left lane.
