I can start a thread about what I want and when I want, you don't like it then don't fricking read it, are you that dense that I have to tell you that?

Yes, all of us can pretty much post whatever and whenever we want to since it is America. Nevertheless, people start losing credibility when they keep posting the same topic. And yes, those of us who don't like to watch reruns should turn our heads and not look, but it's kinda like trying to not look when one drives by a car wreck. March 3, 2016 thread.

You're really not looking for the "ideal" 300 magnum; instead you're looking for the "ultimate" 300 super magnum. We already have good candidates for the "ideal" 300 magnum: the 300 Win Mag, or more likely, the 308 Norma. The latter is probably a better balanced round than the 300 WM, but is not nearly as popular. Using the same parent brass, Remington came out w/ the 7 Rem Mag while Winchester developed the 264 WM and 338 WM; who knows why Win changed brass to make its current 300 WM.

Have you ever killed a pronghorn antelope? As has already been mentioned by others, pronghorn antelope are really not very difficult to bring down. Plus, it's much easier to watch an antelope after the shot compared to whitetail deer in most areas of the south. I went on a handgun only antelope hunt some years back. From the 15 hunters on the hunt, there were 1-4 antelope killed/hunter. I killed two w/ 2 shots, a buck at 225 yds away and a doe at 275 yds; both were killed using a 6.5 cal 120 gr Nosler Ballistic TIp at a muzzle velocity of 2400 fps. I had very memorable hunts stalking into range to make both kills. I couldn't get closer to the doe as there were a number of other does between use serving as lookouts. I was close to going home w/o harvesting a doe as I shot her on the last AM of the hunt. The circumstances made it even more satisfying for me.

If your idea of a memorable antelope hunt is shooting at antelope at >500 yds w/ a 180 gr bullet at 3500 fps, so be it; just done expect very many of your fellow hunters to be very supportive.
