With the West declining, where could the Pels realistically land if they add Batum, Rush, and Buddy (and QPon) and lose Ryno, Gordon, and Tyreke?

Completely impossible question to truly answer, because there are so many moving parts with other teams.

I'd also want to see how the offense develops. You're losing some serious scoring with Ryno/Gordon/Tyreke. Buddy can score in college but he's going to have struggles, as everyone does, year 1. Batum isn't a big time scorer but he is a very good player. Brandon Rush it would be pretty difficult to know what we'd be getting there at this point in his career.

I guess you'd start Jrue/Rush/Batum/AD/Asik with Buddy , QPon, Frazier, Ajinca as your primary bench?

Depending on how things shake out that's anywhere from a 7 seed in a very weak year for the WC and everything gels perfectly, to a 9-10 seed team.

The following year you would need Buddy to take a step forward, make another pick that contributes, and shed Asik and get a decent replacement to take the next step.

wait...is anyone really thinking/hoping/expecting this team no matter who the moving parts are, to contend next year? we've seen this movie before...

yes davis is a beast and should be better
yes holiday is finally coming into his own
but otherwise, this is a broken team that needs to go backwards in the short term, not reach up for the 8th seed again

the pels need young talent that can grow
signing batum or crabbe or barnes to a huge deal is madness
