I fish the redfish tour and the out of state fisherman just think Houma, shell beach, Venice is like heaven for reds. Do you think bass pros feel the same about the bend and catauatche, and Venice? Tia

I think they certainly like coming here, whether they think it's the best isn't really relevant...LA could stand to learn a thing or two from Texas
Have you been to cataouatche in the last 4 years?

No I'm mainly saltwater but I heard it was making a comeback

Most la sportsman articles would have you think it is, but hackney and crew are filming shows in areas around it, not the lake itself

After that that little talk the Elite series got in Calcasieu from the Sheriffs department about everything below I-10 being off limits and the guy in Venice who shot at a passing bass boat and the DA dropped the charges, I doubt very seriously any of the major tours are interested in coming to Louisiana.

Except for the ones that are interested in catching fish and making money from it. All the rest will steer clear of Louisiana.

TX, AL, & FL have more good fisheries than LA. However, LA has a disproportionate number of excellent venues for hosting professional tournaments.

This is pretty entertaining. Lots of dumb shite being thrown around.

It wasn't supposed to be taken literally, it supposed to be tongue and cheek. Perhaps I worded it poorly. There is always some kind of bullshite involved for the tournament directors and the juice is slowly becoming not worth the squeeze. After the Point A La Hache fiasco I was surprised to see bassmasters go back on their word and return to La.

Toledo and The Red River will be chosen often.

Red River and Toldeo Bend? Yes
South Louisiana? No
Tournament rules typically restrict fishing private waters. Most of South Louisiana is Private Waterways.

A BASS Central Open is taking place in the fall on the atchafalaya basin that was supposed to be held in the spring but wasn't because of the rain and high waters....180 or more boats on the basin, I have several friends fishing it, interested to see what happens
....several elite pros fish the opens

Most of the one's we have talked with, 30-40 would have Toledo Bend in their top 5. BASS recently ranked Toledo Bend as #1 in the nation.
Those other states certainly are better overall fisheries as a whole.
