Zappas knows his stuff. I'll add these:

Pints and Quarts for great burgers and dogs. Luscher's Red Hots has the same plus Chicago style Italian beef.

El Come for the best tacos and churros.

Keller's drive in for old school American food.

Monkey King Noodle Co. for asian style noodle bowls and dumplings.

Bubba's cooks country for southern food and a greasy breakfast.

Uncle Uber's and East Hampton Sandwich Co. make great sandwiches.

Jimmy's food store for Italian subs and Muffalletas.

I was looking at going there on my last visit but was warned that it can be a rough part of town. Any validity to that? I did drive by it and it didn't look too bad.
