Exterior house trim help needed

I am not sure what has happened with the trim making up/surrounding the archway at my front porch.
I just moved into this house late last year and havent paid much attention to this spot until recently
The pictures attached show the street side of the archway, where there is a large gap between the inside panel (EIFS I think) and the molding surrounding it. It is a clear gap now, but I cut away a thin layer of paint/caulking that was stretched across the gap.
There is no play in the panels so I dont think that it is warped due to something like moisture since the right and left sides are the same and the door side of the arch matches up with the trim, no gaps.
I am leaning towards whoever trimmed it out set the white molding too far to the side and didnt flush it up with the panel.
I bought some closed cell backer rod but that would still be a big arse caulk run. Should I pop the molding off and reset it?
For reference, this is the inside (door side) of the entryway that has no gaps.

House AIDS. Not the first case I've seen.

It was a relatively new build, wasn't it? If so it could have popped loose with the foundation settling.
Is it masonite board or whatever it's called? Could just pull it off, remeasure and cut a new piece to square it up again.

Built in 2006.
Yeah Clyde, I think the tan panel is that masonite board.
I figure I can pop off the white trim, move it over flush and nail it back in place? I would just have to trim the ends of the top piece since it is rounded and the straight runs fit flush to it.

Slab/foundation settled and probably caused this. Have you looked all around your house for any other signs? Look inside all rooms and see if you have cracks in ceilings/walls sheetrock.

It is not EIFS. I would probably just caulk it, but you can get a new masonite board and replace. My issue would be matching the texture.
