Considering the amount of crime and the staffing issues NOPD does a good job of tracking criminals down. The court systems just keep letting them out. And cops aren't allowed to beat people down in this country but maybe Trump will fix that.

There was a story not long about about them letting out 6-7 folks (some violent offenders) because the DA's office didn't have the money to prosecute them.
When things get bad like that, the public's only choice is to handle the issue themselves.
