@RapSheet: #Saints LT Terron Armstead signed a 5-year extension worth $64.5M base, source said. $38M guaranteed for injury, $25M fully guaranteed. Big.

12.9 over 5 years...that is a nice bargain for a guy who would be commanding 16-17 million next offseason.

That makes him the third highest paid LT (on a per year basis). Hardly stole.

They didn't steal him. He's still being paid top 5 money. I'm not a fan of giving contracts out like this coming up on contract years unless you get them at a real bargain. We didn't get him at a bargain or "stole" him. In the money league we're in today it's hard to know who's going to get fat and sit on their money. Not suggesting Armstead is that guy but I'd rather him continue to work his arse off to get paid even if it ended up costing us a little more.

Don't get what all the arguing is about. He's a top five LT and got paid as such. Honestly I was expecting for it to be for much more. I wouldn't of had a problem if it made the top paid Tackle. He's a star and pro bowler for years to come. About time we lock our stars up instead of them leaving and contributing elsewhere!
