Answering your own question there. As someone who loved every album up to Kid A, I think he has a point. It's weird that they seem to have started getting the most praise as their music began declining in quality.

For years, I was a part of the group that thought Radiohead could do no wrong.

I was incorrect.

I'm really not, though. You're claiming that they are overrated, when in reality, you just don't personally like them. They're loved by millions of fans and critics alike, they've won multiple Grammys and a slew of other awards, they've released eight albums that vary in style, they've sold 10s of millions of copies worldwide, they've maintained the same core members for 30 years, and they have a truly unique sound in an industry full of copycats. Being overrated would mean that the acclaim they receive isn't deserved, but when you look at what they've done and how it has been received, saying they are overrated doesn't make sense.

You can certainly not like them, but that does not mean that they're overrated. I am not a huge fan of Kid A, but I understand why it's so critically acclaimed. It's not my taste, but that doesn't make it overrated.

Well naturally the longer you're active and releasing music, the more exposure you'll get. OK Computer came out in 1997, and there will be hundreds of people that discover that album because they heard Burn the Witch. It's not like King of Limbs is getting more praise than OK Computer or The Bends. Those albums also become more impressive over time when you realize the listenability they have decades later
