Taking the family on a road trip in June to spend a week in Colorado. We are going to start out in Four Corners and then hit Mesa Verde. After that we will go stay in Durango and ride the train up to Silverton. Any other places in the state that we can go see that is worthwhile with a 10 yr old and one year old?

Rocky Mountain National Park (Trail Ridge Road) is incredible, just as Estes park is in general, as someone else posted the Breckinridge/Frisco area is prety cool as well. The Ski mountain had added some summer sports that kids in that age range would be blown away with.

Head up to Ouray when you leave durango and take the kids down into the silver mine on a tour, they will love it.

I spent a month there on a motorcycle and loved every day of it, i recomend picking up a map from a visitors center when you get there, the state tourism dept does an excellent job with info.

Telluride for sure if you are going to be around Durango. Bridal Veil falls, Telluride Brewing, and all kinds of general awesomeness

I took my atv out to the Alpine loop and Taylor Park a few years ago and had a blast. That was a total different trip though now that I am going back without the ATV and with the family.

You can also rent Jeeps in Silverton, but reserve them ahead of time. They book up quickly.

To the west of Denver is Mount Evans, it is the highest paved road at over 14k' and a pretty cool dive up. The baby could have issues with lack of oxygen.
