Taking the family on a road trip in June to spend a week in Colorado. We are going to start out in Four Corners and then hit Mesa Verde. After that we will go stay in Durango and ride the train up to Silverton. Any other places in the state that we can go see that is worthwhile with a 10 yr old and one year old?

Pot shops - take this opportunity to smoke a bowl with your kids.

A road trip with a 1 year old? There is nowhere on earth that is worth that shite.

ID from anywhere in the world and you're set.
He's taking his family so I doubt this will happen.

Hoosier pass between FairPlay & Breckinridge is a nice drive. Stop at the South Park Saloon (restaurant as well so kids welcome). It's the highest elevation saloon in the United States. They have really good food there. Take your picture in the cut out head holes of the kids from South Park show there. Just some goofy fun for the trip.

June is too early. Snow is still melting. Hiking trails are sloppy.
The time to go is late July/August.

There is an entire board for this now

Hell, there's even a thread on the first page that specifically mentions Durango.

Ride the bus to silverton, take the train back to durango, especially with little ones.
Nice drive through there, head to royal gorge, cool for kids as the ten yr old would enjoy the tram ride down to the river.

That no one reads.
These topic boards are a tradeoff because you get a few good posts, but nowhere near the number you get from the OT. I've posted on specific boards, then reposted on the OT and had much better responses on the OT because. This is especially true for the travel board.

I more plainly can't say explain it.

Drive up the million dollar highway from Silverton to Ouray. Hell of a trip.

Do you have four wheel drive?
If so, The Alpine Loop is fantastic!!
