We're so bad Ken Giles would pitch a 1-2-3 inning against us.

Only had men on base in 5 innings and 3 of them had double plays.

The baseball month of April has officially ended and the Astros didn't win consecutive games.

At this point I'm ready to blow it all up and prep for next year. Trade Gattis, Release Gomez and Valbuena. Demote Giles, Call up Reed, Moran, Musgrove and Hoyt. Suck. Add an unexpectedly high draft pick. Set your sights on next year. You don't dig out of a 7-17 hole. And I don't think this team is good enough to do it anyway.

Before the season, I feared it was a possibility that this team would fall on its face. They relied solely on the home run to score and nearly everybody had career years. Combine that with having the best rotation ERA and it meant that any regression would mean struggles. Well both the pitching in hitting have been awful...here we are

Devenski didn't drop any jaws, but I think he pitched well enough to get another turn.

Come on man this is totally a melt worthy start to the season but we're only what...7 games out of first? So much unlucky shite has happened that will even out. Take last night for instance- who knows how that game ends up if Marwins ground rule double doesn't hop over the fence and we go up 5-2.

Pitching is definitely a legit reason to not have much confidence in this season but I think it's reasonable to expect a lot of starts like Fiers last night and Devenski today mixed in with some gems as well as some horrible ones.

But right now we aren't winning games when we only give up 3-4 runs and I think once Correa and someone else can get it going we definitely start to win those type of games

It's going to be important Texas or whoever don't run away with the division and everyone beats up on each other though
