I sometimes think Robicheaux doesn't try to win mid week games. After watching last nights game, its the perfect example.

Is RPI really needed when you have head to heads?
LSU 2-0
LT 2-1
LARC 0-3
Over a 5 year span LSU and the Cajuns have had the best programs in the state with SLU and Tulane being the next tier. There is a lot of good talent up in the I-20 corridor, if Tech can get hot and make a run I could see them having more than enough talent to at the very least onto the second tier with SLU and Tulane with an occasional jump into the 15-20 RPI range. This year has been great for Louisiana baseball, I hope the teams can keep it up.

Congrats on the win. It's baseball. Enjoy it while we still got it. Wish we could find those rolled bats again though.

You ain't lying. We need to find that professional bat shaver again.

Cajuns have the best excuses for losing twice to Tech....in Feb it was "Tech pitched its Ace" & "we beat ourselves"...last night your announcers actually blamed the lame arse home crowd on "festival hangover" from the weekend....that's fantastic. And of course, Tech using illegal bats was also a great one. What's the new excuse about your pitching last night?! Cajuns have a decent team but completely overrated.

Not a fan of Jay Walker at all. Never heard a kiss up to school like him in my life. Dude blamed a festival for a loss? Unreal

still not as bad as blaming a football beatdown on ULL's new practice facilities

Ha! Forgot about that jewel from the Fall...ULLolol

no need to be upset after you win a game, bub. The crowd was kind of weak because La Tech isn't a draw for baseball. Maybe they will be in a few years but the average baseball fan has no memory or history with that baseball program.
And who said Tech is using illegal bats?

yes, well Ragin Pagin, and their pbp opinion leader, also said that one play was the difference between blowout losses to La Tech and McNeese, and easy wins against those 2.
Anyway anyone can win a given baseball game, but the significance is that La Tech is no longer a basket-case in baseball. They hired a coach who knows what he's doing.

Why wouldn't the NIT count as an NCAA basketball appearance.

It actually looked more packed than any other weekday game and the announcer commented on it a couple times.

Tulane last week was the biggest midweek crowd of the year, by far.

Yeah, I'm sure that's it.

Okay, there was still a nice size crowd for Tech.

Oh for sure. There's always a good crowd midweek though.
It was a little bigger than Nicholls, but not as many as Tulane.
I'm not in here to defend or attack anyone bc I don't give a shite. Tech beat ULL twice this year fair and square, no excuses.
But I just wanted to say that it definitely wasn't the biggest midweek crowd of the year.
ETA: I think there were like 2 or 3 other people sitting on my row which at capacity would hold 25-30 people.

Rankings are cool, when is the last time ULL went to the college world series?
