Converting iso files to mp4

any recommendations for this?
iso files are fricking huge, would love to be able to convert/compress these to small mp4 files (relatively, anyway)...

Iso are images. Either mount the iso and then get whatever data you want out of it or burn them to disk.

I think I use DVDFab Virtual Drive to mount iso files. Assuming the iso is from a movie DVD, you will need a program to convert the DVD. Check out the DVDFab line of products to see if one of them meets your needs.

DVDFab will do the job or the WinX products from Digiarty. It will be the same as doing a rip direct from DVD. Be aware that you will lose control of your subtitles when you convert.

Windows 8 will let you open the iso. Extract the files, run em thru handbrake. I'll be here all week. Be sure to tip your waiter.

A bit off-topic, but I was able to move almost all of my DVDs and BluRays to the UltraViolet cloud last year. You may have noticed that newer releases now come packaged with an UltraViolet registration code. Just enter that on-line and your movie is immediately available in the UV cloud. Older movies without the registration code can be added for a small fee (10 for $10) at any Wal-Mart store or on-line at Vudu. Vudu and several other movie streaming sites provide the front end for your UV library. It saves the time-consuming hassle of ripping the DVDs and it also preserves the original subtitles, something you lose with DIY rips.
