This is the first one i've owned (been brewing for 8 years). I've tested it out on packaged beer and bourbon. So far, it's pretty awesome.

Just be aware that they don't give a correct reading post-fermentation. If you know the original gravity you can do a conversion and get it within a point or two, which is good enough for me.

Pretty soon you'll be thinking in Brix or Plato instead of gravity points.

refrac are known to be great for OG. but isnt accuate for FGs with the alcohol. ive gotten different FG using a refrac and a hydrometer

shite should have kept reading.
