Auto insurance quotes

Had one accident in 10 years of driving and my auto insurance has doubled.. This is bull shite

same thing happened to me. Switched to Safeco because they have an accident forgiveness program. So I ride around with a little monitor now. Supposedly if I behave they'll forgive the accident when time to renew.

Car insurance does. I would say every six months I pay less than the last six months. Except now I raised my policy and lowered my deductibles so it's higher, but the same as it was when I first started the policy with state minimum and $1200 deductibles.

I got an email from my alma mater saying that I can get a discount through Liberty Mutual...ok...
Called...
LM: Oh you went to southeastern? Yeah we work with them...Oh you're a teacher too? even better! another discount........That'll be $235/month!
Me: Oh, goodness...that's nowhere near where I'm at.
LM: Well sir, if you don't mind how much are you paying.
Me: $142
LM: Wow, that's nearly $1200/year difference we're nowhere close to that!

Unless you love your agent, shop around.
Independent agents can write through dozens of auto carriers. State Farm, Allstate, Farmers, etc cannot.
It boggles my mind why more people don't do it.

You don't even have to behave that much. Just don't drive like a moron or an Asian woman and you'll get the discount.

How do some of you have that high of a premium?
I switched from State Farm to Geico and went from paying $115 a month to $74 a month after buying a new F-150. Truck was in a tornado last month and got $9K worth of damage and Geico was badass and took care of it great.
My deductible was only $501 too. And it's $501 on all accidents too, not just comprehensive.

You're right. I logged in to check my status because of this thread. I've basically changed nothing about the way I drive and it's completely in the green.
