Protip - Wine is the most marked up thing at any nice restaurant. Go buy a nice bottle and bring it and pay the corking fee and you will still come out WAY ahead.

A little more than the highest person in the thread, but not too high to seem implausible.

$380 Morton's Steakhouse in NOLA

Sat next to Reggie Bush that night. He had just been drafted at the time.

500 @ Canlis for my GF and I. However her ex picked up the tab via gift card for not taking her for a ride on the divorce.

Le Truffeau Sauvage is very legit, and not too many people know about it even in LC. No proles allowed.

picking up the tab for a large party or hosting an event like a rehearsal dinner is easy to shell out big bucks, dinner for two: was in Vegas about 25 years ago with this vixen I'd just started screwing, er, I mean dating, I decided that I wanted steak and lobster, asked the concierge to recommend the best place in town, get to the place, small, off the beaten path, have a couple of drinks, menu comes out, no prices on it, the waiter gives a dissertation about their Aussie deep water lobster that is actually blue when it's caught, yadda, yadda, we order appetizers, steak, lobster, bottles of wine, everything was awesome as was the service, check comes out, it was more than my house note and a condo that I owned as rental property combined, afterwards the slut says she hoped I wasn't planning on playing poker that night, why is that I asked? because you do not have shite for a poker face, she said the look on my face when I saw that bill was straight up Rodney Dangerfield

Business dinner:

$1700 including tip at Cristiano in Houma. Of course I got to expense it.

Personal, probably $250ish at Charley G's in Lafayette.

I've signed for dinners over $3,000, but that wasn't my money so it doesn't count.

I will tell you the most expensive entree I've ever had was at the now defunct Le Creole. The waiter was going on and on about his backstory and how he created famous off the menu dishes. He goes on about something called "crab on crab on crab" It was something like a soft shell crab on top of a crab patty with lump crab meat piled on top.

Sounded good to me. I think that alone was $120.

Over $16,000. Context- about 60 guests of one of our biggest customers and their spouses, SO's. The price included venue rental, food, open bar and band. It was a lot of money, but it was money well spent!

It is amazing. My wife and I go once a year for our anniversary. The testing menu is really good, but I hear the duck is amazing. It is off menu and you have to order it in advance.

FYI, you need to call one month ahead of the day you want to go. I suggest calling as soon as they open; otherwise, you might not get a table.

My girl and I are planning on going to Square Root on her birthday, in a few months, and I know that place isn't cheap.
