Saw a sign that said Nando's Mexican and someone painting the outside of the building.

10-15 years ago that parking lot was packed. A shame what happened to that restaurant. It's been discussed on here that they were supposed to be franchised at one point. The one off Jefferson was never busy. I guess the one off 73 in Prairieville is doing ok?

Classic example of "identity crisis".
At first, it was quality simple food (pizza, calzones, and sandwiches) at a fair price. They started to introduce Italian restraunt food at a higher price and nicer (read expensive) locations and when the bill showed up you said "man, I could have eaten at Gino's for that price."
Then you franchise without an identity and BOOM, there goes the chain.
On a side note, Louis is a good guy with a good heart and passion but the place got lost.

they were kind of a first in Baton Rouge at the time, the price point wasn't as big of a deal then because it was better than most pizza in the area. Competition increased with better prices and they never seemed to adjust.
