Even if Romero batted 220 he's a better option because he puts the ball over the fence

He has limited at bats yet leads in homers.. Can always use a big bopper.

Pap seriously struggles so bad at the plate when he comes to bat it feels like an automatic out.

That's just my opinion.

I feel the coach probably does value Pap as just a better defensive catcher or more durable behind the plate.. Who knows.

Deichmann has the ability to put the ball over the fence as well so I was okay with letting him work it out.

Pap might show the ability in BP, but nothing has shown he can do it here and there in the game and he struggles so mightily with hitting in general.

I will say that Romero has been through some nasty injuries and even surgery on his knees or legs.. I'm not sure which is was. But to a point he wasn't sure he'd be able to play at a high level. While he has bounced back, I still wonder if durability is a concern as to why he doesn't start more.
