Ask any hitter and they will tell you that they need to get into a rhythm by getting PT. Of course Romero's BA might drop if he plays C regularly, but it also might rise. I think he's earned the opportunity for us to find out. There is also the intangible of leadership. I get the feeling that Romero has earned the respect of the team with his hard work and blue collar approach.

I believe I've read that it's the reasoning for keeping Deichmann on the field.

I don't disagree. Also, Pap has been struggling to block the curve balls in the dirt. It seems like that used to be his strength.
