Save your excitement until November.

You're telling me I can't get excited about LSU football until November? frick you! (Right in the pussy). I will get excited about LSU football when I am goddamn good and ready.
wow - talk about an emotional overreaction.
The poster meant that November is when we really will know what our team is made of, so temper your expectations until then.
Of course we all get "excited" about LSU football. That's why we watch.
If we go into the Ole Miss game at 7-0, that will mean we beat Wisconsin, Auburn, and Florida on the road. That's good stuff.
But the tough part of our schedule lies ahead, so don't get ahead of ourselves. Remember what happened last year.

I think a lot of us got caught up in the LF7 show early on last year (and rightly so - he's the best player in CFB). But there were also glaring weaknesses in our team all along before Nov - regular breakdowns in pass coverage, and no consistency in throwing the ball. If those or similar are apparent again then we ought to temper our enthusiasm. Either way, Bama, OM, Arky is a tough stretch.
All that said, kudos to Les for the four great recent AC hires.

I was making a point about his emotional "under-reaction," if you will

Why? I'm not on the team. If I get excited and enjoy September and October and we shut the bed in November, what am I out? What have I lost? The right to say "I told you so.?" I don't give a good goddamn about that, I assure you. Let's say we go 8-0 in September and October and I'm cumming all over myself I'm so hyped up. But you guys hang back and "wait." Don't let yourselves get excited because you don't want to be let down. Then We go 0-4 in November. I'm bummed, you're bummed, everybody's bummed. We're all fricking bummed!!!
But who do think really won, 87? You, sitting back in your chair, "waiting," trying not to get too excited? Or me, who was riding that undefeated train, cumming all over everywhere? We don't run the sprints. We don't lift the weights. We don't watch the film. We don't get to hoist the trophy. All we get to do is enjoy the ride. And I'll be goddamned if I'm gonna let any of you salty bitches ruin my ride. Cause we don't get too many of these trips around the sun.

Remember what happened in 04? We were out of the SEC race and NC picture by 10-2.
Each year is different and every SEC game is big.
No one knows when we discover what this team will be made of...might be our 1st game, might be Aub., or might be any other game.
I would suggest we be highly excited for all our SEC games and certainly Wis, but each to our own.
