Passed 3 out of 4 parts, had life get in the way this year, so never took FAR. Decided I don't really care. May try again from scratch, or not (time ran out). Congrats to you. I just can't justify the stress while making 6 figures. It just isn't that important to me. But, again, great job, it is a great accomplishment.

I have wondered about my income tax coworkers. I have done all tax, SALT, property, income. If we go to a flat rate, what happens to income tax professionals at corporate jobs? I doubt they will make companies a flat rate, but...

I say it's a pretty safe bet to go into tax, even on the individual side. Probably a topic for an entire thread on its own, but this country will never see a flat tax. The convoluted tax code is a congressmans best and most powerful weapon. They won't be giving that power up in our lifetime.

Cruz's proposal is for a flat rate for businesses as well. I'd expect a corporate tax accountant to have heard this...
