Yeah we are trying to do a day journey from each destination...that is on the list for Prague.
If the weather is nice, there is a rafting pubcrawl in Cesky Krumlov we want to hit up. It looks like the best time in the world. I don't know what the water is like in late August though. Doesn't seem as warm as Barcelona.
But glad for the suggestion...friend had mentioned that place and I've been researching.

I just got back from amsterdam a couple weeks ago. Overtoom (street)is booming now with a lot of bars and cafes. Its an easy walk from Leidseplein if you want to get out of the tourist zone. De Ebeling cafe was rockin' on saturday night when we were there. For lunch Foodhallenis an indoor food court mall near Overtoom. It has probably 20 or so food kiosks run by local restaurants. If you are in old town, Maoz is a good falafel/ Mediterranean food spot. Another good beer spot is Brewery Troost in Westergas. Westergas is a fairly new area in a big new park. Lots of stuff has sprung up there since I was last in Amsterdam.

Will you be in Spain on 8/31? If so, La Tomatina will be going on. Definitely consider checking it out.
It's an easy train from Barcelona to Valencia, which is definitely worth a day visiting, and then a bus ride from Valencia to Bunol early in the morning. Quite possibly the most ridiculous experience of my life that I'm glad I did but never want to do again.
