2 hour Wyndham Resorts sales pitch + 4 free airline tickets-scam or not?

I just got a call from a sales guy who wants me to come into the Wyndham in NOLA this weekend to listen to a 2 hour sales pitch about their resorts. He informed me that any giving sales pitch only 10% of the ones being presented to will buy a package but my girlfriend and I were guarantee 4 transferable airline tickets to Europe or anywhere in the US. I know there will be hidden fees but for those who have been through this pitch, how legit were the tickets?
EDIT: we have a wedding to goto in Ibiza in September so thought we may go after the tickets

You ain't getting out of that room without a Timeshare son. And if you do, you probably won't get those tickets unless you are prepared to fight for them.

Absolutely it's a scam (timeshare)... it and it will last way longer than 2 hours. And if you leave before they allow you to, you won't get the tickets.

You can checkout anytime you like, but you can never leave.

Def. not plan on buying a timeshare, especially in NOLA bc we live here. If he throws something out like a few days in Destin resort for a few hundred I may buy.

So what happens if he stays the full 4 or 5 hours or however long it lasts, then says "thanks guys, but I'm not interested"?

we had this happen at Disney at the Hilton. They said it would be an hour, ended up taking 3 hours. But we got our free $125 gift cards.
I will warn you, they train the sales people very well. There were a few times during that Hilton presentation when I found myself thinking 'wow this is a good deal!' But basically they asked me what it would take to get me to sign, and I said I'd buy one for $50 a month. That was on the third, last ditch sales effort, and they finally gave up.
I don't think its a huge problem, if you know what you are going into to begin with. To spend 2 (or more likely 4) hours of your time for those flights may be well worth it to you.

SCAM

Yeah your sales pitch is going to be way more than 2 hours. They are going to almost beat you into submission.

They called me last week. I had filled out something at Rock-n-Roll marathon expo. I didn't go to their 2 hour meeting.

Fck fooling with that crap. Just sign up for a airline credit card and get the bonus for a few flights

Go watch Glen Gary Glen Ross... that should prepare you for the experience.

i keep getting 6 night stays at beautiful resorts in Playa Del Carmen Mexico popping up on my FB feed. It says clearly that there will be a "short presentation that you must attend at the resort" but frick man. For the money they are asking to stay at some of those places the offer is mighty tempting.

After the presentation you will go through 3 different salesman. Low, Med. and High pressure. The high pressure salesman will use things like...You must not be very smart passing up a deal like this. They will tell you the deal, then make you repeat it back to them like a child. They basically call you stupid. They laugh and shake their head saying " I just can't believe you can't see how good of a deal this is?" They will also drop the price of the timeshare dramatically from the original to create the illusion that you are getting it at a steal. Most people are so mad when they leave they forget all about getting the freebies. This happened to me and my family over some Disney trip. It was a horrible experience. But if you don't mind being degraded by someone for some airline tickets then have at it.

I'm pretty calm person and very little can offend me. I guess I just have to let him know in the beginning I'm here for the free tickets.
I had a friend who went through one of these and got 4 nights in Destin for $100 total. If I can get that deal and the airline tickets it will all be worth it.
