That's just aweful, not that it matters, but I assumed friend's wife not yours? I guess it actually does matter, if the guests wife, damn, a grown arse adult couldn't just bear down and eat it? If your wife, not really as rude since she your wife and you the one that cooked it. My buddy cooked a duck gumbo one year and I brought my wife who doesn't like duck and okra. She still ate a bowl of it and thanked the cook.
