I don't know if they're related, but they're obviously both a real pain in the arse.
Picky arse people who refuse to even TRY other things are ridiculous. At least TRY it ... if you still don't like it, then fine. Don't be so close minded.
It crosses the line for me when it goes beyond their own food and they start affecting other people's dinner plans or asking other people to change their recipes. That's just rude and inconsiderate imo.
