The retention system lends itself to NDs because you have to push down and pull. Doing this fast enough can pull your finger into the trigger guard and cause a nd.

I guess on poorly designed ones maybe. I have used two different brands A LOT (Blackhawk and IMI), and my finger always comes off where the trigger guard meets the slide. One is a semi-button and the other a paddle.

I feel safer standing around a newb with that than one trying to draw and holster something not retained at their 5
