That looks like a Rothko.
Allegedly, you have to see them in person to appreciate them. When viewed via internet, they just look like squares. Supposedly, when viewed in person, they are huge canvases and somehow, despite being quite abstract, they invoke very real and deep emotions in people that wouldn't expect it at all, hence part of the reason for the supposed genius.
