Why not just drop it off at a shelter

By no means am I defending someone who would do this at all...but most shelters where I live will not take a dog that someone doesn't want. I have made the phone calls myself and heard the answers I got from every place I called when there were some puppies someone had dumped in my neighborhood. If you take care of a stray, it becomes your dog. Again, not saying that is why this happened but the shelter thing is a pipe dream around here. That option doesn't exist.

Plus, unfortunately, most shelter animals get put down. Probably 90%.
Many people think dropping off a dog at a shelter , the pet will find a home. Not true.
Just quit buying dogs from breeders, and fix your pets you have.
