Mr. Blutarski --Worse places to be than PB. Moved here in 95 for what I thought would be a couple years HAHA. I'm a life long Current River rat though. Have a place on the river about 7 miles below Doniphan.

rednecks, trashy, and ugly... yes.
I went, you just have to avoid all of that. Its nice to watch the races and trail ride through some very nice woods. The park is 4000 acres so its not too hard to get away from the trashiness this type of event brings.
I will say though its no were near the level of trashiness that MudFest is on.
It was a fun trip, however I can see why some of the older crowd would not want to attend specially with kids.

Beautiful area. When we go to CR we go to Van Buren. Have friends that have places up there. What line of work are you in? If you've been there that long, I guarantee we have mutual friends.
When I'm home, we usually eat at Westwood, the Wine Rack or cook something at my parents house. Always hit up the Cottage Inn or Triple B's.
My parents live in Woodstone. Lets grab a drink in a month.
