So much isn't said - if FIFA paid the US women 2m like they claim for winning it - 75k per person is a great breakdown for that for a 24 man roster.

Germany made over 35m for winnging the men's world cup. Likewise the men's split for winning would be good for that.

The true comparisions need real specific data which USSF should provide - but the public domain will have no access or knowledge of at this point.

There are some things in there that are legitimate complaints. The men and women get different per diem rates?

Overall, pay them a percentage of what the teams bring in. Make the percentages the same for the men and women and let the market decide what it is worth.

If I am honest though, I would perfectly OK not paying them anything to play on the national team. Cover their expenses in full but players should be playing for the the (nationalism) and not for the paycheck. The pay should be a nice to have rather than the requirement.

The issue is that the women get paid crap in the professional league and the USWNT is actually a way for them to earn a decent living.
