Another Saban.... he said multiple times "they have not called or been in contact" we all know he was full of shite now.
Why cant a coach just say "no comment" when asked a question like that, why does he have to blatently lie
Glad to see you go les

Every coach that leaves one place for another is full of shite. I guess it would be better for them to say I'm leaving after the season, but in the meantime I need to work on recruiting for my next team.

That's how all coaches roll these days. If he says "no comment" he fuels the fire.

ESPN keeps saying "apparently". Herbstriet said "it appears Miles is going to Michigan". It's all just a more sophisticated version of the Rant.

I just cant see how if you love a place, like he supposedly does, you can just straight up lie. Does no one have any integrity these days.
Id rather a "no comment" then anything else. Oh well, frick it, Im not worried about it. My tigers will survive no matter what

Wow....
What a great idea!
Why hasn't anyone thought of this before...just say, "no comment"!
Had only Les done this, I'm sure all the speculation, distraction, and endless questions...would have gone away!

It's the media.

There's a reason they lie...check the Rant for the way people freak out about everything a check says in the media as what they really feel for a small example.
You'd probably do the same.

Hey dumbfrick, I see you are from Gtown so it might take a little while to comprehend this.....
Im not saying anything about distractions, I could care less about distractions, they will be the same way either way but how can you respect a guy that blatantly LIES?

If he lied to tamp down speculation, it was a spectacular failure.
To be honest, for all the press conferences I heard, there was pretty much no pressure or follow up questions from the media at all. I don't buy the theory that saying "no comment" (or perhaps a slightly more sophisticated version of that) would have subjected him to any more scruitiny or speculation at all.

The report bugs me because Michican wasn't supposed to have contact with Miles until tonight. Now they have a "deal" somehow.
The only way Miles could get his dream job was for us to NOT play in the MNC game.
I no longer like or support Miles. Get gone you dork.

Im not talking about the speculation.... I never said the "no comment" thing would stop the ruomors and shite, but it wouldnt make you out to be a fricking liar. Like I said, I guess intergrity means dick in the world

Integrity matters but you have to be very careful what you say in the media...it's not the coaches, it's the way people freak out these days. If he said "no comment", people would make it out to say he had indeed had contact and it was distracting from his preperation. No matter, he can't win.
Technically, he may not have had contact with them. They may have contacted his agent..

I believe that he was not in contact with Michigan, but HIS AGENT WAS. The media should have asked if his agent was in touch with Michigan.
SKIP needs to tell Miles to get his check book out and write the check and we are not accepting it from MICHIGAN. That is not part of the deal.

The Alums will pay....Michigan is big money.

Aged Wolverine,
One thing you and many others don't realize about his buy out is that Les has to write the check himself. Michigan can't pay it for him.
Let's say that Michigan pays less the 1.25 million, well it is a taxable event and Les is in the hole. To be made WHOLE, Michigan would have to pay LES roughly $2,000,000 to cover the $1,250,000 plus the IRS taxes and we are not taking state taxes into account.
If there is so much money, why did they only pay Carr less than $1.3 million and this guy won a championship for ya?
