I guess it all depends on how well the attacking part of his game translates. The team certainly could use a go to scorer. But I just have problems seeing Hield as contributing anything more than scoring. If he didn't have the fire/leadership factor I'd be very much against drafting him. Being just a scorer isn't that unique of a skill set in the NBA.

If your first sentence worries you with Hield, it should worry you 10x more with Valentine as that's his biggest knock coming into this draft. He has trouble finishing and creating separation. I just don't see that explosiveness and handles that Hield seems to possess. I like the synergy possibilities with Holiday as well, who seems to play really well with guards who are quick and make quick decisions. Valentine's passing intrigues me, and he is a great shooter. I just love the way Hield is able to create that shot on his own without needing to run off screens. By no means would I be disappointed with Valentine, and he's honestly the prospect I would target if Hield were to go before we pick. I'm just not trading Hield for Valentine + project if I'm the Pels right now. I would give up Murray in a heartbeat for Valentine + project. The other problem with Valentine is there is no way to project where he will go in the draft. He's a very intriguing player.
