Signed to Team Campo. Obviously not the most popular player around these parts, but you got to be happy that one of our own continues to try and make it. Rooting for him!

I've come to terms with J2 by freezing him in my mind as the guy who beat Alabama's all star team in 2010. If you distill his career to only this moment and forget all of the stupid threads on here about him and Lee, you can heal.

Good for him...I guess.

At what point does someone try to get a real job and actually make a living. This can't pay well right?

His competition is Emmanuel Lewis ... Wasn't that the little kid on 'Diffrent Strokes'?

I wish Jordan nothing but happiness & success, but after next basketball season I say we retire the name JJ forever.

We can no longer recruit or hire individuals with these initials. Its just too much of a risk

I never disliked JJ. I don't think he was a good SEC QB by any stretch but he had his moments. For the record I feel the exact same way about J. Lee. Some of you might not like to admit it but the 2011 season doesn't have the regular season it has without either of them and neither of them were beating Bama in the NC game.

A competent quarterback throws a touchdown to Beckham on the first series after halftime. Take your pick on either the ball J2 sailed or the one he threw so high that Beckham couldn't score on it. Lee or Mettenberger could have made either one of those throws. If that happens, we're talking about a different game.

10 games a season, with each active player getting paid an average of $2500 per game. So about $25k a year.
By comparison, Practice Squad NFL players make no less than 6k a week, but can be cut at any time -- so about 100k a year.

The "franchise player" is considered a year round employee who can get paid more because they will be doing promotions and things.

Interesting. I'm definitely not hating on the guy. Good luck to him and hope he does well. This just isn't minor league baseball. It's not exactly a track to the NFL. At some point you'd think its time for a full time job that can pay rent. Always wonder about these guys that can't let go of the glory days. I guess I might be the same if I was ever good enough though

I don't dislike him. Someone here as a sig quote from Skip Bertman something like "Its not your fault I should have never recruited you." Not saying we shouldn't have recruited him, but the staff completely mismanaged the position and he was put on the field when he shouldn't have been. Guy gave his all....his all just wasn't very good.

Exactly. If he wants to keep playing ball and making peanuts, who am I to judge?

God I could watch that over and over again.

2011 may not have turned out the way we wanted it. I try to picture every game in calendar year of 2011 and not 2012. That way it is a success.

My God was it satisfying belittling Florida and absolutely beating the whale shite out of Auburn! Also, Ole Miss played their worst football game in school history vs. us that year.

Oh, 2011. I wish I called upon you more for positive things.

The jump pass in Tiger Stadium, in the freaking student section, while pushing the Gators' shite in...just amazing.

No no -- definitely dont think you are hating on him. I just wanted to put the board on blast to let them know that JJ is trying to get back into the football game.

For those who don't know, MLFB has a cap of 4 years. Also, in Baton Rouge area, you will be abel to watch games on either COX or Fox Sports ( i forget which).
